When you should clean your ducts

One of the best times to get your ducts cleaned is when your home is still under construction. This is often times included in the build but it is something to be aware of. Another good time to clean your ducts is when you have just moved into a new home. Over time, the walls of the ducts build a thin sticky residue that catches dust, dirt. pollen and more. Start off right and clean the ducts and freshen your air. Generally, every 3-5 years is a good rule of thumb to clean your air ducts. This depends on quite a few variables such as humidity, use of the system, pets, etc. After major events such as floods, fires, smoke, or mice, your ducts can become quite dirty and need to be cleaned to restore maximum air quality. Finally, if it would put your mind at ease or if you are worried about it, clean it.
